| Ask the Experts a Question about Ipe. | |

First question is how can I confirm whether it is ipe or mahogany or something else. Second, many websites tell me that ipe does not need any protection because it is very hard and resistant to any termites or fungus etc. Is this true? What about mahogany? Note that I just want the deck to last long... I am not looking to make it look nice... Thanks.

I live in South Wales (UK) and am looking for Ipe hardwood decking. I will need it to be delivered to Cardiff, and need the best possible price.
Many thanks

If so, how do you like it's look and durability?
